For People With Bags, she shared her most special, most used, and most unexpected handbags, giving us a peek into her style, her favourites, and the stories behind them. From deep dives on YouTube to playful everyday outfits on Instagram, Sabrina brings humor, honesty, and passion to everything she touches.
1) Hi Sabrina! Thanks so much for sharing your handbag wardrobe with us. But first - tell us a bit about who you are, what you do, and where we can find you on social!
I’m Sabrina, a fashion creator with a focus on luxury fashion. I started my journey on social media as a way to break into the fashion space and to connect with like- minded women, and I’ve been loving the journey thus far because it gives me a chance to work on something I’m passionate about. You’ll catch me on YouTube, where I dive into handbags, luxury brands, and buying quality pieces that actually last.
And on Instagram, I take those same ideas and translate them into everyday outfits but .. with a little humour and real life honesty.
2) Okay, let’s start with your most special bag - your Fendi Baguette. Funny story, I was working at the boutique that sold this bag to you at the time of your purchase! So I remember this - specifically, I remember the urgency of the purchase. Tell us a bit about why you felt so drawn to this particular bag.
OMG I don’t know what came upon me, I am not normally one to impulse buy, BUT I have an eye for when things will sell and I knew this bag would not last on the shelves long. At the time I wanted a baguette for soo long but I wanted my 1st one to be the colour pink (my favourite colour), so I just knew it was my calling. Plus, the price point and the condition, everything added up and it was too good to refuse.
I knew it would be a good purchase… so good I ended up buying my 2nd baguette a month later. They are the BEST bags what can I say? Fit surprisingly way more than you might think, comes in ENDLESS style variations, and it’s a perfect day to night bag.
3) Now, I want to hear more about your most used bag - the Savette Symmetry. What about this bag has you reaching for it so consistently?
Ok this bag is screaming at me to stop being worn. In fact, I want to buy another one but I’m holding myself. You see, I love a top handle bag. I also tend to go for more small – medium sized handbags because of their versatility. I like bags that can easily transition from day to night (we like options).
So the Savette Pochette ticks off all those boxes. I got my first one in black so it would go with everything and let me tell you… it absolutely does. Day to night, casual or dressy, this bag is my go-to and surprisingly holds A LOT.
4) Okay, on to your most unexpected bag - the Louis Vuitton Madeleine PM. Why do you believe this bag is so unexpected for you?
So it’s important to note that this LV Madeline PM is in the colour cream and I’ve always thought there is something off about white/cream handbags (the same applies to boots). But as I was building my wardrobe of all neutral bags, I felt like I really needed a cream handbag to go with my white or light toned outfits. And let me tell you… I have worn this cream handbag the same, if not more, than my black handbags.
I am SHOCKED at the amount of times I have worn this handbag. So this goes to show, sometimes the best purchases are the ones that you are hesitant to buy. Sometimes they’ll surprise you.
5) Can you share a particular memory you have with any of these three bags? Something special, or funny, any memory at all that stands out in your mind.
I bought my Savette Pochette as a treat for reaching 1k subscribers on Youtube. And if I was going to treat myself to anything, it was going to be a bag! Plus, I believe treating yourself to something you love after hitting a milestone (big or small) is a must. It will push you to achieve greater (more handbags, duh) and if you never appreciate your hard work than what’s the point in this all?
6) What do you think is currently missing in your handbag wardrobe, or, what are you currently on the hunt for?
Ouuu, I am currently on the hunt for a leopard print handbag. Not because its “trendy” (leopard print is a classic, ok), but because leopard print is a neutral while having multiple colours in the same print. Therefore, it will go with MANY of my outfits, no matter what (it’s called girl logic). But my problem is I’m picky when it comes to leopard print, and it’s been difficult to find one in a decent price point.
7) And finally, as a fellow bag lover - tell us, what do handbags mean to you?
I standby the fact that handbags are an extension of you because you can learn so much about a person just from their handbag without ever saying a word to them. Maybe they have a FUN, statement handbag, you probably already know they would be a fun person to be around. Or maybe they are wearing an “if you know, you know” handbag. They’re probably someone that’s fashion forward, and knows designer brands like the back of their hand.
My favourite is seeing vintage bags in the wild. Likely the owner will know the designer, season and year the bag is from and will give you this whole story. I love it! Whatever kind of handbag it is speaks volume on your character.
